As a business IT executive, do you prefer to have the technology and technical service of the Death Star or the Rebel Alliance?
As a fan of Star Wars myself, I have always rooted for the Jedi, Luke Skywalker and THE FORCE. However, when it comes to technology, I would not want to take any chances. I would certainly choose the Death Star over the unreliability of the Millenium Falcon and the Rebel Alliance technology constructs and ships.
Don't worry, she'll hold together... You hear me, baby? Hold together!" -Han Solo
The Death Star technology was so impressive, building it took much longer than they anticipated. The weapons system, transportation system, landing bays, sensor arrays, tractor beams, drive thrusters, civilian shopping centers, and so much more were incredibly constructed. It was a massive, well-thought-out undertaking. The Death Star also needed to be mobile in order to be a successful deadly threat.
The Death Star was divided into 24 zones, 12 per hemisphere, each controlled by a "bridge".
I can continue listing for pages the incredible infrastructure the Death Star had, and if you want to learn more, you can click here:

These are great reads, especially if you are a Star Wars AND Technology fan.
Once the infrastructure for the Death Star was up and fully operational, they needed MANY technicians to be on standby to maintain all systems, especially in emergencies.
Now, let’s take your business. Would you prefer the Rebel Alliance or the Death Star? - Storm Troopers excluded of course.
For your business to be successful, whether it is in Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Restaurants, Property Management, Manufacturing or whatever industry you are in, you want to be sure all your locations have strong IT network and telecom infrastructure in order to be successful. There is much competition out there and you need to be sure your business is always running efficiently and effectively.
Here are 3 things to keep in mind when building or expanding your business:
- For a new business, new location or huge IT rollout, be sure you are working with the most reliable technicians and project management team. It is best to go with a company with a lot of experience that can manage both.
- After your location is up and running with strong IT infrastructure, you need your network and telecom systems to be maintained - ensuring they remain fully functional. This requires the services of an experienced IT Technician.
- And when issues arise, you need access to IT Technicians around the clock, 365 days of the year.
The Death Star had their technicians on standby at all times.
Did the Death Star have trouble finding technicians on weekends? No.
Did the Death Star have trouble obtaining technicians on major holidays? No.
Did their tech service company charge the Empire extra for travel, up front fees, after hours or the like? Hmm..just ask Darth Vader. ;)
The Death Star was technologically advanced, an impressive model, and they needed technicians to always be on standby. You want to be sure your business has the same access to remain a successful and powerful force.
The one thing the Death Star did lack was a strong defense against external attacks and infiltration. Likewise, make sure you are working with a trustworthy, professional, dedicated on-site technical services company. Like Tech Service Today!
Trust, loyalty and reliability go a long way!
When you need an IT technician at any of your locations in North America, Tech Service Today can usually deliver someone in 4-hours or less. While Princess Leia had to use a droid to ask Obi Wan for help, you can get TST's help by just clicking here.
